How is the anime Fruit Basket?

I%26#039;ve watched Tokyo Mew Mew, Mermaid Melody, and Sailor Moon. Is FB like them? In your opinion is it a good anime?! I%26#039;m considering watching it and I just want to know if it%26#039;s worth my time.

How is the anime Fruit Basket?
It%26#039;s good, but quite unlike the others that you%26#039;ve mentioned. For instance, Tohru isn%26#039;t some sort of superhero, she%26#039; just a normal girl... But she%26#039;s the kind of character that you can look up to. The anime doesn%26#039;t quite delve into the story like the manga does, so there%26#039;s a huge difference between them. But otherwise, I liked it!
Reply:Yeah go ahead. I think you%26#039;ll like it. I warn you that the ending of the anime is cut short compared to the manga. Watch the anime (its really short) and then fill in the rest with the ending of the manga. If you like it of course. I find that a lot of girls like it but few guys do.
Reply:It%26#039;s not the typical magical girl as the ones you mentioned. Very light drama and little action. The richness in characters are awesome though. You will fell in love with each characters. Highly recommended. ^_^

Reply:well the manga is better but the anime is pretty short; more or less than 26 or 25 episodes and that%26#039;s it... its funny and entertaining.
Reply:i love fruits basket!!!! i never wathced the anime i only read the manga and i loved it!!! if you wanna read it you can read it at onemanga.com, but i would recommend reading it rather than watching it... but thats only my opinion
Reply:It%26#039;s an excellent anime, imo. I liked it so much that I bought the box set. So, yes it%26#039;s definitely worth watching. Don%26#039;t let the first few episodes put you off because the progression is just wonderful. It%26#039;s very funny, dramatic, and emotional. Also, the animation is really nice.
